Mixed Media Sculptures

It's no secret that I am in love with Morgan Brig's work and consequently have become a collector. Dang those studio sales make buying just one of her wonderfully creative creatures a challenge. And then there is Geoffrey, his animals are beyond cool and his bronze rabbits? Had to buy one of those, too.

So you can imagine when these two met at my house for the first time last summer after Geoffrey's class - my mind went there. Yup, why don't the two of you teach together, it would be so cool, I said out loud.

I still laugh at Geoffrey feeling compelled to be on his tiptoes!

Luckily, they agreed and now they are going to teach in San Miguel next February. One of my favorite places to visit for art in Mexico with two of my favorite artists combining their two skill sets. I can't wait to see what people are going to create.

Geoffrey's latest work has just been amazing.

And who doesn't love a rabbit?

We'll be focusing on heads and smalls for the workshop in San Miguel. Tough carrying a cow or a rabbit back in your luggage!

I can see how some the heads will combine both Morgan's copper work and Geoffrey's carvings. It's going to be interesting!

Did you know that Conde Naste Traveler declared San Miguel de Allende the #1 place to visit? Yes, they did, and we love sharing San Miguel with our art tribe.

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico’s colonial-era “it” destination has been named the No. 1 “Top Small City Outside the U.S.” and “Friendliest City in the World.”
