Art + Travel + Food in Amsterdam
Free Spirits Amsterdam was filled with laughter, friendship, red beers, cheese, bikes, warm delicious chocolate cookies and art, lots of art.
I could have spent hours in this shop tasting my way through everything. A feast for the eyes and for the stomach.
The canals are every bit as beautiful as you think they would be.
The architecture was amazing, not just the canal houses, but this museum shaped like a ship's bow. There was a park on top where people walked and took pictures of the harbor. The bridge below was filled with bicyclists.
There was a lot of art. This man was demonstrating how to make oil paints as Rembrandt did in his studio. We were standing in his studio, people! Oh my.
Katie's muse was watching from above.
In our incredible studio - thank you Daniella for sharing it with us. We were honored and humbled to create in this space.
Judy explaining how to capture the movement of our model.
Theresa and Daniella.
We rode bikes, avoided being hit by bikes and saw windmills. Oh, and this guy who thought he was a comic who demonstrated how to make a wooden clog.

And there was chocolate. Everywhere. Sigh. I was happy.
Our first bite at De Kas. It was a lovely last evening.
Until next May.
