A look at Spain - Week One
Two Bellissima Art Escapes were held last month in Spain. Barcelona was our home base from which we traveled to Can Serrat in El Bruc for a week of Painting Big, then back to Barcelona to drop off and pick up four new artists for our second week in Bordils for a week of Journaling with a Circle of Friends. Two very different workshops, both led by artists Katie Kendrick and Judy Wise.
Barcelona was amazing, exciting, and vast, filled with intriguing neighborhoods, history and politics! We experienced parades, fantastic food, stunning architecture, human "trees" and celebrations. Picasso, Miro, Tapeis were our muses and masters as we experienced their art and created some of our own.

We painted - big!
We shared our space with other artists from all over the world, even a pair of newlyweds. There were healthy walks to the little town of El Bruc to pick up snacks, pastries and wine from the barrels. We had a lovely lunch at the base of Mont Serrat.
We woke to beautiful sunrises.
At Parque Guell
We had our own show so that the other artists at Can Serrat could see our work. This is only a sample, some of our artists had already packed their paintings away for the journey home.
