Sculptures by Annie Evans
While in San Miguel de Allende, the Pilgrims and I discovered this magnificent sculpture in the window of the Magenta Gallery (lower left) and kept returning during our free time, hoping to get inside the gallery to take a closer look. Finally, we caught one of the artists who was manning the gallery and were able to get up close to Annie Evans's sculptures. You can find more of her work on her website here.
Annie says that her foremost creative goal is to honor the female and her animal hybrids signify that we are but one of many animal species, related to the others both physically and emotionally.
