Museums and Gaudi in Barcelona
We visited several museums while in Barcelona on our Art Escape. Miro was impressive and there were many good discussions about his work and how he created.
Katie in front of the Miros she admired.
These paintings were intentionally burned by Miro.
Gillian and Judy having an in depth conversation about Miro's technique.
There was a whole wall of Miro's drawings.

Even the tiles along the sidewalk were designed by Gaudi. Some of the original drawings and mockups. Maria from Forever Barcelona was our guide that day.

We visited the Picasso museum but were not able to take pictures. What struck me in that particular museum were the photographs of Picasso sitting at a table with pieces of pottery lined up behind and next to him waiting for a brush of his stroke, like an assembly line. Not what I pictured a famous artist having to do at the end of his career.
Judy and Katie in front of the Antoni Tapies Museum. Very interesting. Beautiful library.
